Western United State

Mathisen Equine Transport exclusively transports clean loads. Your horse(s) must have a current negative Coggins and health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian.

State Requirements

A current HEALTH CERTIFICATE (usually valid for 30 days) is required.

A COGGINS TEST for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) is also necessary. Please check with your local and state laws, as tests conducted previously are generally valid for 6-12 months in most areas.

List any immunizations and/or medications your horse may need.

Brand Inspections and Certifications: Several Western and Mid-Western states require brand inspections to be completed. This is done to demonstrate that the horse’s brand is legally transferring ownership. This requirement is only applicable if the state of origin mandates it.

The following states require such inspections:

- Arizona

- Nebraska

- Utah

- Colorado

- Nevada

- Washington

- Idaho

- New Mexico

- Wyoming

- Montana

- Oregon

Yes, My Company is fully licensed and insured for your safety and peace of mind.

Payment Terms: A 50% deposit is required upon receipt of confirmation. The remaining balance of the quoted contract is due at the time of pickup. Client cancellations are fully refunded up to 6 days prior to the pickup date. However, if a client cancels 5 days prior to the pickup date, the 50% deposit will be retained. Any cancellation within 12 hours of the pickup date will incur a 50% charge on the remaining balance.
